Demo Inventory Coordinator & Warehouse Assistant

GLP German Light Products based in Van Nuys, California is looking for someone to join the company in the role of Marketing Coordinator.  This position can be based out of our Van Nuys, California office or can be remote.

Organizational Placement

The Demo Inventory Coordinator & warehouse assistant reports to Director of Operations.

 

Areas of Responsibility

The primary role of this position is to manage, track, and maintain stock used for demonstrations, product trials, and marketing events. Key responsibilities include auditing, organizing and prepping demo units, ensuring they are functional. When time is available, responsibility will shift to assisting the quality control, warehouse and technical departments with their workloads, as required.

 

Tasks

  • Inventory Tracking: Monitor, track, document and maintain accurate records of demo equipment, products, and marketing materials, outbound, inbound, and internal transfers. Create accurate demo lists, and packing lists for outbound
  • Logistics & Maintenance: Prepare, clean, and organize demo products before and after events to ensure they are in working order. · Audit & Reporting: Conduct regular physical inventory counts and audits, reporting on stock levels, damage, or losses. Accurately label and record materials in the warehouse.
  • Supply Chain Support: Coordinate with sales teams to fulfill requests for demonstration units in a timely manner.
  • Tracking and Monitoring: Regularly review outstanding demo units to be returned and ensure they are returned in a timely manner.
  • Storage Management: Maintain organized storage, warehouse, or retail areas to ensure easy access to inventory
  • This job also requires cross-departmental support, this includes assistance in the quality control, warehouse and technical departments.

 

Qualifications & Demands

  • Strong communication, organizational, problem solving and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office · Knowledge of QuickBooks is a plus, but is not required
  • Positive attitude and exceptional customer service skills
  • Able to use hand tools, power tools, and electronic measuring devices
  • Ability to lift 50 to 100 lbs. occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 lbs. frequently
  • Able to drive automobiles, have a valid drivers license and have an acceptable driving record
  • Able to think quickly, creatively, objectively and decisively
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team, or independently and perform multiple tasks without general supervision
  • Ability to multi-task between projects and managing priorities
  • Ability to read and understand technical documents
  • Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment
  • Adhere to safety standards at all times, ensuring that safe methods and practices are used
  • Ability to understand and meet deadlines
